Easy fundraising ideas Bake off - Test your baking skills with your work colleges or fellow students and bake cupcakes, brownies and biscuits to see who can produce the tastiest cake that would make Mary Berry proud. Once the judges have chosen their winner, why not sell what’s left! Bring and buy sale - Set up a table and sell donated handmade or unwanted goods such as cakes, greeting cards, books or clothing. Bingo event - Set up your own Bingo hall and charge a fee per game. Whoever calls house could win a donated prize! Dress down day - It might not be the most interesting way to fundraise, although it is one way to get out of wearing a suit for the day whilst raising money. Eco day - This is one of our favourites as it helps the environment, raises money for charity and involves wearing green! Wear something green and do good deeds for the day such as litter picking, recycling or ban photocopying for the day. Five aside football tournament - Challenge your boss or your teachers to a 5 aside tournament and let the competition commence. Each team pays to enter. Fashion show - Hold a fashion show and get creative with your costumes. Why not buy clothes from our charity shops or reuse your own unwanted items. Make sure you invite your whole school or community to come and watch and charge an entrance fee. Give it up - How long could you go without your phone, chocolate or social media? Give something up for a day, week or month and donate the money you save or get sponsorships off your peers! Raffles - Hold a raffle in your local community centre, church or workplace and get local businesses, friends or family to donate the prizes to raise funds. Sleep out - Why not get your sleeping bags and cardboard boxes out for a big ‘sleep out’. It doesn’t have to be outside, you could hold the event in your school hall or community centre. Non uniform day - Get your whole school to ditch the uniform for a day and pay a fee (with permission of course!) Challenge yourself Are you wanting to set yourself a personal challenge, overcome a fear or work as a team to achieve something great? Why not take part in one of the following things and raise money for Emmaus South Wales while you do it. A total walking distance of 17 miles and an ascent of around 1500 metres, usually in less than 24-hours. National Three Peaks Challenge - Have you done the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge and want to progress further?
