We rely on the generosity of individuals like you to donate your unwanted items to us so we can find your cherished items a new home. For larger items we even offer a FREE collection service (postcode restrictions apply). 

Donate Furniture to Charity

We accept:

  • Good quality furniture - Upholstered items must have fire labels attached; the item must be in a usable condition as we are not able to repair damaged furniture

  • Bric-a-brac - Good quality bric-a-brac including dinner sets, fine china, glassware, ornaments,  kitchen equipment and toys

  • Small Electrical products - DVD players, kettles, lamps etc- must be a UK item in working order. (We are unable to accept laptops or mobile phones - see below). We PAT test all electrical items to ensure they are safe to be resold

  • Clothing - All good quality men's, women’s and children’s clothing accepted

  • Textiles - Any quality curtains, household linens, rugs, fabric and wool

  • Books - Any books from paperbacks, coffee table books, hardbacks, academic, rare, collectors and children’s and we love any 1st editions!

  • Media - Records, CD’s and DVD’s must be British, we are unable to sell imported items!

  • Gaming - Computer games and consoles

Due to the large volume of donations we receive and the small amount of storage space in some of our smaller shops, it is advisable to call your chosen shop prior to donating items. Phone numbers for all shops can be found here. We thank you for your understanding and for thinking of Emmaus when donating your unwanted items.

Please note we are unable to accept donations of laptops, mobile phones or other devices that hold personal data. If you wish to donate these items please do so through a reputable organisation that can guarantee your data is securely wiped to minimum standards.
