Emmaus South Wales is a homeless charity based in Bridgend that provides a home, meaningful work opportunities and a future for people who have faced or are threatened with homelessness. We rely on the local communities support in many ways in order for us to continue to help those in need.

Are you interested in supporting your local homeless charity, Emmaus South Wales? Here are some of the ways you can help us...

1. Volunteer with us

Emmaus South Wales relies heavily on the support of volunteers, who dedicate anything from an hour a week to 5 days a week volunteering in our shops. We have a range of volunteering roles to suit everyone's skills and interests including Antique Specialist, Book Specialist, Clothing Specialist, Merchandiser, Customer Service Volunteer and much more! We currently have around 50 volunteers who volunteer throughout our five shops.

3. Shop with us

As mentioned above, all of the profits made from selling items in our shops goes directly to support Nant Lais and the Companions who call it home. Therefore, we rely on our customers to shop with us and support our cause. Our shops sell a range of secondhand items such as sofas, dining sets, electrical items and clothing as well as new items such as beds and white goods. We also have an online shop selling new items as well as an eBay shop that sells a range of unique items. Shop online here .

4. Donate money to us

We rely on your support to help people who are facing homelessness. Not only do we provide a home and meaningful work opportunities for our Companions, but also training courses and leisure activities to help them grow and succeed. As a charity, supporting those in greater need is a massive part of what we do, this also extends to supporting people within our local community. We call this work solidarity.

If you would like to support the charity as a whole and provide Companions with a home and a reason to get out of it, you can donate online to our General Fund
